Olena Vasendin

"About 5 years ago I became a volunteer for the world-famous group of knitters 'Knitted Knockers'. We are knitters and crocheters, creating beautiful handmade prosthetics for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. We 'adopt' local medical clinics so the Knitted Knockers are available to their patients at no charge.

I also knit for "Knit for unique fit". I knit socks too. I buy raw wool at the Dutchess County Wool Festival, wash it, process it, and spin it into yarn on my spinning wheel."

If you would like more info about her work, contact Olena.
