As an 8 year old child, D.C. asked for a camera for his birthday. To his delight, he received one, but, to his dismay, his parents would not let him use it unless he put a family member in front of anything he was inspired to photograph. 39 years later, his sisters bought him a camera for Christmas. He has shot every day since then. His favorite subjects, as it turns out, are PEOPLE, with a side interest in vintage and/or decaying architecture. He has been known to photograph himself when no model is available, thus covering both interests with one shot.
His photographs have appeared in regional galleries from Appleton, Wisconsin to Honesdale, Pennsylvania. A recent transplant to the Hudson Valley, he likes nothing more than a drive through one of it’s many villages, camera in hand.
Also an actor and singer/songwriter, D.C. Anderson has ten albums of original and cover songs available for listening on all music streaming services. His latest album is titled: D.C. ANDERSON HOUSE CONCERT released February of 2022.
As an actor D.C. performed On Broadway and on tour in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and NICHOLAS NICKLEBY and in film/tv: NORMAN, MASTER, BILLIONS, THE BLACKLIST, EXTRAPOLATIONS and more.
